Join us for a humorous camp!
Our week-long camp classes, limited to 18 kids, include stand-up, sketch comedy and improv.
Campers will learn what:

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Asheville School of Comedy is to provide children and adults with a professional learning experience in comedy. Our goal is to teach to the beginning student who is looking for a fun class to add to their comedy tool belt. We also take pride in working with students that plan to pursue comedy as a career path.
The exciting field of comedy offers many opportunities to express your talents. A sampling of comedy related careers: Stand-up comic, writing for TV, Sketch TV shows, Commercial actor, Voice-over performer, Warm-up for TV shows, Radio comedy, Radio talk show host, Cruise ship entertainer, Corporate humorist, Podcast personality, TV sitcoms, Screenwriting and directing, Animation writing, Internet work and Speech writing to name a few.

Meet your teachers

Tim Arem
Founder, Chief Humor Officer
Mr. Arem has been a visual performing artist and teacher for 40 plus years. He has performed worldwide. His acting credits include; movies, TV, commercials and videos. He launched School of Comedy in 2020 in Brevard, NC. Locally, he has performed at the Orange Peel, ACT, Belle Chere
and the LEAF Festival.
Jon Monastero
Mr. Monastero performed as the lead clown in the Cirque du Soleil international touring show, TOTEM (2014-2020) including over 2,000 performances worldwide.

I really try to have fun. I don’t have fun, you won’t have fun. That’s my gift: to relieve people from a little of the pain and comfort in their lives by allowing my comedy to distract them. A good laugh is almost as good as any doctor visit.

You’ll pick up and drop off campers in front of the theatre.

We’ll send along registration forms and a personalized payment link via PayPal.
Registration fees cover all materials.
But Campers should bring a snack, bag lunch and a water bottle.
Campers will each get a tshirt too!
There will be a final performance for family and friends on the last day of class. Time to be determined.
